Advancing Talents and Philanthropy.

ABOUT CMN

Christian Ministries Network (CMN) commits to facilitate the development of talented persons to edify, inspire and evangelize the world. Consequently, several programs have been created to propel this vision. Collaborative efforts with sister program ‘active love’; both under CMN, provide Christian Talent Academy (CTA) with platforms to creatively pursue the ministries’ primary goals to develop talents to aid benevolence. The CMN mantra in the bible in 1 Peter 4:10; “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others” guides the actions of CTA and brings focus and purpose to its outreach.

CTA training is achieved through activities such as workshops, seminars, camps, scholarships and collaboration with institutions. We embrace the biblical suggestion to study to show oneself approved and believe that professionalism in ministry will be achieved with such pursuits.

Exposure is achieved through the staging of fundraisers for clients and the Active Love Foundation; the benevolent arm of the ministry and by supporting the evangelistic outreach of various church and para-church organizations. Alongside our ‘Praise Uprising’ talent showcase, there are collaborative outreach programs spearheaded by Christian Ministries Network to provide spotlight for our gifted associates.

CTA Management provides an incubatory facility to launch careers in various performing arts disciplines and guidance to professional approaches for ensuring successes. As a talent grows, and is exposed to the right ways to pursue lifelong goals, premium services are offered to provide full fledged sustenance.

The support program targets the individual. Strategic projects are provided to include financial, spiritual, educational, emotional, health and family development to name a few. Christian Ministries Network commits to the holistic development of the minister, aware that without this it is often difficult for one to effectively represent the body of God. We believe that the less distraction a minister encounters the more effective his/her ministry.

Children’s primary responsibility is to learn – to get an education.

In support of this position Christian Ministries Network has created programs to aid children to embracing and attaining this. Our belief extends to accept that a child deserves his childhood and any attempt to rob him/her of this should be unapologetically thwarted.

The active love program is our response and commitment to put action to our words. Parents have a primary responsibility to care for their children but are sometimes genuinely unable to do so for any number of reasons. We, therefore, seek to work with them and institutions of learning and social development to provide our children with refuge from the many social ills they are constantly exposed to.

We seek; firstly, to provide for the most basic needs of food, clothing and shelter. As such, we reach out to children and parents with such gifts and seek, by extension to work with families to provide tools for long term development and sustenance.

Our programs, therefore, include activities such as fundraising, seminars, workshops, skills training, small business development and housing.

Programs for the vulnerable greatly overlap our other activities but do not blur our clear vision to assist these persons who are affected by disease, diverse poverty, abandonment and old age. We carefully collaborate with appropriate agencies and facilities to provide assistance for these persons so often scorned and ignored by many in our society.

We invite partnerships to support our diverse assistance services like the Quick Response Relief Unit to provide aid in crisis and our regular support facility affording cash, food, clothing, toiletries, medical supplies and services, school supplies, skills training and counseling, fundraising facilities and patronage to our supporters, sponsors and events.

We invite you next to envision with us a Jamaica where children are healthy, literate, wealthy and happy; where parents take pride in providing and caring for their families because your contribution assisted them to take a new look at their lives and made them hopeful enough to change; where the vulnerable can regain his/her self respect and position and can experience love regardless. A Jamaica that effectively plays her part in advancing the welfare of the whole human race.

OUR VISION
Christian Ministries Network envisions individuals creating self-sufficient lifestyles through discipleship and empowerment. We, further, envision the creation and maintenance of wealth, health and prosperity using our gifts to serve humanity while embracing God’s love as the foundation of our religious practices and expressions.

Loving your enemies

If we love our enemies, humble ourselves and hold our peace the Lord will lift us up and fight our battles for us and through us.

Jesus said we are to love our enemies in St Matthew 5:44. We can only love our enemies as God enables us and we choose to release our anger and desire or lust for revenge, retribution and allow God to purge our hearts of unforgiveness, bitterness and strife.

You know you have forgiven when you can remember the person, persons or the situation and no longer… Continue

Jamaicans

Jamaican are actively creative for good or evil. In spite of the negatives that surround our country we are all proud to be Jamaicans. " Wi just love Jamaica" Our country has been described as " a paradise gone wrong" That is true but there is hope in God for us.

Let us ask God for a Passion to do what He has called us to do. He wants to change people, if people change structures will change. It is our time to get and stay connected to God so He can work through us to do our… Continue

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, thank You for Your Word which lights the path You have for me. I choose today to keep my heart and mind focused on You. I choose to meditate on Your Word knowing that it feeds my faith and sets me in a position to receive every blessing You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

GOSPEL CONCERTS: Profitability and Ministry?

The cry for entertaining activities in the gospel arena has not fallen on deaf ears but certainly brings to focus the many challenges inherent in fulfilling the needs. The gospel concert is by far the most popular event in the gospel community and as such we look at this product for discussion.

The promotions of gospel concerts seem to be on the down turn as many churches have moved away for such activities because of constant financial loss. Other promoters have recorded similar… Continue
